Plugging in a new electric stove is not like plugging in a new lamp. When you buy the stove, the power cord is separate because your plug may be a 3 or 4 prong plug. This means there will be some assembly required to make it work. This is a good time to have a professional complete this task for a few good reasons. The wiring of the cord correctly could avoid other costly events, injury, fire or even death. Also, the last thing you want to do is buy a new stove again because improper wiring is not covered under the warranty. It’s always a good idea to have a trained electrician wire in the cord to your stove.
